This cheerful 1952 Dell issue puts Walt Disney's beloved pup front and center — Pluto is nose-down on the grass, wide-eyed and bewildered as he sniffs at a cluster of tiny baby turtles, while a full-grown tortoise creeps up behind him on the hill. Jack Bradbury's cover art captures Pluto's rubbery, expressive charm perfectly, making the whole scene feel like the setup to a very good joke. A delightful ten-cent slice of Disney comics fun.
