“Chocolates as Fish Bait”

In "Chocolates as Fish Bait," Porky and Bugs are entrusted with Petunia’s cake for the county fair, but a detour to check on Elmer’s carrots leads to chaos when Bugs devours the cake’s insides and hides the remains in Elmer’s hat. The hat-cake becomes a baffling spectacle at the fair, stumping the judges with its impossible-to-cut consistency. Fred Abranz handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Ralph Heimdahl provides the cover.

Porky and Bugs are supposed to take Petunia's cake to a contest at the county fair. Porky leaves the cake with Bugs while he goes to see Elmer's carrots. Bugs ends up eating the inside of the cake and puts what's left over Elmer's hat to cover up his crime. The hat-cake causes a commotion at the fair, when the judges can't find a knife sharp enough to cut it.
