Smitty saves the bear cub when he finds a dead wolf under a bush. The bear had killed the wolf after the wolf had bitten the papoose. George and Mr. Bailey find Smitty at the Indian camp. The Indians send smoke signals to Mr. Bailey's camp to have an amphibious airplane come and pick them up.
