“The Moon”

In the whimsical tale "The Moon," Walt Kelly crafts a dreamlike journey as the Pied Piper, scorned by a stingy mayor, leads the town’s children on a magical ascent to a mysterious mountain where a giant egg has appeared. With his signature blend of charm and quiet wonder, Kelly guides readers into a hidden world of sunlight and blossoms, all drawn with the distinctive style that defined his early work. The story, illustrated and inked by Kelly himself, features a cover by him as well, capturing the tale’s enchanting mystery in a single, vivid image.
