“Ping Pong Pain”

In "Ping Pong Pain," Oswald and Toby join Dr. Weskit on a rocket-bound expedition to an island in search of the legendary lost city of Oakie Doakie. After uncovering the hidden metropolis—home to a trio of queens entangled in a bizarre royal dispute—they narrowly escape with a mysterious giant Gargosaurus egg. Written by John Stanley and brought to life with energetic art by Dan Gormley, this 1947 Four Color adventure blends whimsy and wonder in a tale that’s as delightfully odd as its title suggests. The cover by Dan Gormley captures the story’s playful spirit in bold, dynamic lines.
