Two astronauts make the first manned flight to the moon, only to find a base inhabited by cyborgs under the control of Colonel Hooper, who was thought lost in a moon flight 12 years earlier. The moon base is part of a top-secret effort to train Earth men to be part of the Galactic Guard and protect the solar system from the enemy-- Garrak-Axos from Alpha Centauri.
