“Flying High”

In "Flying High," the ever-resourceful Chilly Willy finds himself far from the beachside antics of his penguin peers, stumbling upon a trio of polar bear pirates burying treasure. Forced into labor aboard their ship, Chilly must outwit his burly captors using nothing but wit and his signature determination. With a chilly twist and a dash of daring, can this small penguin turn the tide before the polar police catch up? Written by Vic Lockman and brought to life by Veve Risto’s distinctive art, this 1960 Dell classic features a memorable cover by John Carey.

Embarrassed by the weightlifting penguins at the beach, weakling Chilly goes off to a remote part of the beach where he sees three polar bear pirates burying some plundered treasure. Rather than leave a shivering witness to tell the tale, the trio set sail putting Chilly into forced labor aboard their pirate ship. Can a resourceful, non-weightlifting, li'l penguin baffle the bear pirate bunch and signal the polar police? It's Chilly Willy, you know he'll come up with... something!
