An anthology featuring two science fiction tales: "Undersea Empire," in which a fisherman discovers a mysterious underwater civilization, and an untitled story about a man who experiences an unexplained urge to send a package to his ex-fiancée, only to awaken delirious in a hospital charity ward weeks later, where he learns doctors obtained his identification from his wallet and he has no memory of how he arrived there. A second story follows a couple at a horse race who witness a pilot landing a plane at a remote lake near a burned-out cabin, leading them to discover the cabin's mysterious origins before they return to the city and the man becomes a successful writer, attributing his inspiration to the supernatural events they encountered.
