"Outer Space!" depicts a satellite circling Earth on February 15th, where reporter Ben Widdemer monitors conditions including constant wind and humidity; the satellite loses control and crashes, with the story revealing it was actually a sentient being. "Wartime Episode" is set in 1920 Poland, following a couple whose young son disappears and is later found by a wizard; years later during wartime, the now-grown son encounters Nazi soldiers and, moved by memories of his mysterious rescue, chooses to spare their lives despite his underground resistance group's orders. "Return of a Hero!" concerns Hungarian freedom fighters during the Cold War who seek legendary leader Louis Kossuth to inspire their uprising against Soviet occupation.
