During World War II, fighter pilot Nick Dimetrios crash-lands on a mysterious Pacific island and meets Diana, a captivating woman hunting with a bow and arrow—who then reveals herself as the Greek goddess Diana, exiled to Earth because no one believes in the old gods anymore. When Nick prioritizes repairing his plane over staying with her, Diana decides to prove her divine nature by whisking him away to the frozen surface of the moon. Now back at an Air Corps hospital on Okinawa, Nick struggles to convince skeptical military doctors that his fantastic encounter was real and not a combat-induced hallucination.
A young accountant named Bill Woods is haunted by an uncanny sensation of being watched—until the day he discovers an exact duplicate of himself has moved into his apartment. As the impostor seamlessly infiltrates Bill's life, taking over his job, his fiancée Dotty, and his home, Bill finds himself increasingly desperate and displaced, forced to confront a mystery that grows more disturbing with each encounter. The deeper Bill searches for answers, the more he realizes he may be fighting an enemy he can't defeat.
George Blenham, an Australian businessman on his first trip to New York, checks into a hotel only to fall mysteriously ill—but when he insists on seeing Dr. Wilson, the very doctor who knows the rare Australian disease that's actually afflicting him, he begins to wonder if his fevered visions of a hidden 13th floor were something far stranger than delirium. A tale where superstition and impossible coincidence collide in ways that defy easy explanation.
