In the midst of World War II, American pilot Nick Dimetros crash-lands on a remote island and encounters Diana, a mysterious woman who claims to be the Greek goddess of the moon. As he struggles to repair his plane and return to duty, Diana reveals her divine nature and tries to convince him to stay with her, challenging his loyalty to the war and his disbelief in her claims.
Bill Woods, a young accountant, becomes convinced he’s being watched by a doppelgänger after a series of increasingly unsettling experiences—feeling eyes on him at work, at home, and even in his own reflection. When he confronts the stranger who claims to be him, the truth spirals into confusion, as his fiancée, Dotty, is torn between the two men who look identical. The story builds on the eerie tension of identity and perception, leaving the nature of the double and the real Bill’s fate unresolved.
George Blenham, an Australian businessman whose lucky number is 13, arrives in New York only to be told his hotel skips the 13th floor—until he’s suddenly rushed to what appears to be a black-clad medical facility on that very floor, where doctors treat him for acute appendicitis. Though he believes he’s delirious, George hears everything as doctors debate his condition, only to be saved when a doctor recognizes rare symptoms of the Australian disease Oxlain Fever—something no one in the hospital should know about.
