The Scarlet Speedster finds himself in a very precarious situation on Brian Bolland's cover for this February 2001 issue — the Flash is restrained by armored guards before a guillotine, while an imperious queen-like figure seated nearby gleefully commands "Off with his head!" The medieval castle setting and jeering onlookers make it clear that Wally West's speed alone may not be enough to talk his way out of this one. Geoff Johns, Angel Unzueta, and Doug Hazlewood bring their story "Enemies and Allies" to life inside, and with a cover this dramatic, it's hard not to want to see what comes next.
