“I Was a Prisoner of the Rainbow People”

In "I Was a Prisoner of the Rainbow People," fugitive Pete Marek flees to the Peruvian jungle, only to find himself trapped between a festival honoring the Fire God and a series of escalating dangers. As he battles the elements and his own desperation, a series of fiery accidents force him deeper into the wilderness—until the detectives close in on a smoke-hazed hut. Howard Purcell’s expressive art brings the perilous journey to life, while Bob Brown’s cover captures the story’s eerie, high-stakes atmosphere.

Further along a bolt of lightning sets fire to the track forcing him to change course. He then tries to cross a rope bridge which catches fire. He decides to go further up into the snow.
