Inexplicably, Superman creates a new island shaped in the form of himself. Despite Superman's warning to all approaching ships, Lois contrives to land there by row boat and finds all manner of strange machinery and equipment. She and a gang of crooks discover a vault containing vast quantities of green Kryptonite, and subsequently find that Professor Vanley had thought the mineral might be a universal power source.
