Monk and Ham ask the Avenger to don a disguise. The Spirit and Ebony (a woman) hijacked a truck from the Blackhawks, with a coffin. The Blackhawks trash a bar seeking the Spirit. In Hildago, Johnny, recovering, is betrayed and captured by Right Red Hand cultists while Rima keeps watch. In Neolantis (a floating city), two scientists compare atrocities while Colossi argues with Mom. The Blackhawks ambush and torture the Spirit for their "cargo", until Doc Savage busts in. Batman nabs thugs and the Avenger poses as Clark Savage, Sr. The Blackhawks pin Ebony as a hostage.
