“First Wave Book Four”

In "First Wave Book Four," the fate of Doc Savage hangs in the balance as he’s set to be sacrificed on an Aztec temple under the moonlight. With the Blackhawks delivering a coffin to the mysterious Colossi, Bruce Wayne arrives in the floating city of Neolatis, while in New York, Monk, Ham, and The Avenger are caught in a deadly ambush. The Spirit and Renny track down a wild Rima and her panther, who guard Johnny’s crucial computer disk, as the Batman, having overheard the plot, swoops in on glider wings to intervene. Written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Rags Morales, with inks by Rick Bryant, colors by Nei Ruffino, and letters by Clem Robins, the cover by J. G. Jones captures the tension in sharp, striking detail.
