Fiction House's Fight Comics returns in November 1950 with Tiger Girl front and center — chained at the ankles yet utterly defiant as a turbaned horseman brandishes a sword above her from a rearing black stallion, a distant crowd and palm trees hinting at an exotic locale packed with danger. The cover tease for "Captives for the Golden Crocodile" promises Tiger Girl going to war against dealers in doom, and the bold, dynamic artwork — courtesy of cover artists Matt Baker and the Iger Shop — makes it easy to see why Fiction House covers turned heads on the newsstand. At just ten cents, this is a vivid snapshot of adventure comics at their most kinetic.
