Fantastic Four Annual #13

This 1978 King-Size Annual delivers the full FF experience as the cover — penciled by Keith Pollard and inked by Steve Leialoha — throws Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing into a massive brawl against a surging horde of Moloids, with the Mole Man himself presiding from above alongside what appears to be a mysterious robed figure. The blaring cover copy promises he's "back — deadlier than ever," and the sheer scale of the creature mob overwhelming our heroes makes that claim easy to believe. Inside, Bill Mantlo scripts "Nightlife" with art from Sal Buscema and Joe Sinnott — a creative team well suited to the FF's brand of action-packed, imaginative adventure.
