Exciting Comics #42

Alex Schomburg's cover for Exciting Comics #42 puts the Black Terror — the skull-emblazoned "Nemesis of Crime" — square in the thick of a harrowing archery ambush, fists flying as robed bowmen loose arrows from every direction. In the background, a second figure in the same black-and-yellow costume is bound to a target board, arrows bristling around him, raising the stakes of the scene considerably.
