Part of Archie's Giant Series line, this 1969 oversized issue delivers a perfectly timed beach gag right on its cover: Archie confidently reassures Ronnie that Hot Dog won't bite — only for Jughead, lounging nearby under a striped umbrella, to get chomped instead. The two-panel setup and punchline give the cover the feel of a complete comic strip, sunny and carefree, with the whole Riverdale crowd gathered on the sand. At 25 cents, it's a cheerful snapshot of Archie humor at its breezy best.
