Elvira, Mistress of the Dark #133
In "Delectable Collectibles!", Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, trades her usual haunts for a bustling flea market as she films a TV show for "sweeps week" under the watchful eye of her boss, Roz Wyck. What starts as a routine evaluation of antiques takes a bizarre turn when Ragout, the stew monster, erupts from an old cooking pot and goes on a rampage—only for Elvira to summon a towering, sentient loaf of bread to neutralize the threat. Written by Janet Hetherington and brought to life with sharp, expressive art by Ronn Sutton and Andrew Pepoy, this 2004 adventure from Claypool Comics blends humor, horror, and a touch of culinary magic, all wrapped in a cover by Lynn Goldsmith.
