Men, apparently from the far future, have come to 2005 Oregon to put the Earth's future on the 'right path.' Using advanced equipment they turn animals into large, angry beasts and when the Doom Patrol arrives to try to stop them, they are easily defeated as Rita and Cliff are turned into raging beasts. Nudge tries telepathy to contact the JLA but when J'onn J'onzz arrives, he is transformed into a large, snarling ape. Earlier, Mi-Sun sees and talks with a more corporeal Elihu Washburn, the Confederate 'ghost'. She also calls her family in Oregon but is rejected by them.
