Doom Patrol #10

Four members of the Doom Patrol stand in uneasy formation on this September 2002 cover, their blank, upward gazes locked on the looming dark entity above them — a shadowy, tendriled figure with glowing green eyes that radiates quiet menace. The arc subtitle "Mental Floss" sets a distinctly unsettling tone, and Tan Eng Huat's cover art gives each character a striking individuality, from the yellow-clad figure on the left to the red-haired central figure in black and white. John Arcudi and Tan Eng Huat's run on this DC series consistently delivered offbeat superhero storytelling, and this issue looks to be no exception.
