About the series
Gladstone’s 1988–1990 Disney’s DuckTales comic series brought the hit animated show’s globe-trotting, treasure-hunting adventures to the printed page across 13 issues. Anchored by the regular writing of John Lustig, Frank Ridgeway, and William Van Horn—who also drew many of the stories—the series starred Donald Duck and his fabulously wealthy uncle, Scrooge McDuck. It offered fans a new, comic-exclusive window into the gold-fueled exploits of the Duck family, capturing the spirit of the era’s cartoon craze.
