“Giant”

In "Giant," Jack Kirby delivers a thrilling chapter of Devil Dinosaur’s prehistoric saga, where a young "Big One" named Ruka captures Moon Boy, setting off a chain reaction when his father—a towering warrior in a Triceratops skull helmet—rages through the Valley in search of his son. Kirby’s dynamic art, with inks by Mike Royer and colors by P. Goldberg, brings the clash of titans to life, as Devil Dinosaur battles the giant, only to be moved by Moon Boy’s plea to save him. The cover by Jack Kirby and Dan Green captures the epic scale, making this 1978 35-cent adventure a standout in the series.

Ruka; a young member of the "Big Ones" (giant fur covered cavemen), has come to the Valley and has captured Moon Boy for a pet. Meanwhile Ruka's father (a giant wearing the hollowed out head of a Triceratops as a helmet), has come to the Valley looking for him destroying countless Dinosaurs in the process. Devil engages him in battle and lures him into a bog where he begins to drown. Meanwhile Moon Boy escapes and pleads with Devil to save Ruka's father when he realizes the giant was only looking for his offspring. Devil uses a tree to do so, and the Giant grabs Ruka and leaves the Valley.
