Detective Comics #614
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this May 1990 issue says it all: Batman stands defiantly between a gang of menacing motorcyclists — their jackets bearing the "Demonz" name — and a group of frightened teenagers he's clearly shielding from harm. Norm Breyfogle's cover art captures the tension beautifully, with the Dark Knight's cape spread wide as the bikers close in from all sides, chains and chrome gleaming under a stark spotlight. "Street Demonz" looks to be a street-level thriller that puts Batman squarely in the role of protector, and with Alan Grant writing and Breyfogle on interior art as well, this creative team was firing on all cylinders in 1990.
