“I Am the Batman!”

In "I Am the Batman!", Hugo Strange takes control of Bruce Wayne’s life and auctions off the Batman’s secret identity—leaving Gotham’s streets in chaos. When Boss Thorne refuses to play along, he turns violent, while Silver, suspicious of the man posing as Bruce, calls on Dick Grayson to uncover the truth. Written by Steve Englehart and brought to life by Marshall Rogers’ striking art and Terry Austin’s sharp inks, this 1977 classic is a tense, psychological twist on the Dark Knight’s mythos, with a cover by Rogers and Austin that captures the story’s eerie intensity.
