Deathstroke #6

The cover of this May 2015 New 52 entry says it all: a menacing, hooded figure in dark, spike-laden armor looms triumphantly over a bloodied, fallen Deathstroke, whose orange-and-black mask is cracked and streaked with crimson. Tony S. Daniel and Sandu Florea deliver a striking visual with sharp contrasts of shadow and golden light, the tagline "Father Knows Best!" adding a charged, darkly ironic tension to the scene. "Honor Thy Father" promises a brutal, personal chapter for Slade Wilson — and this cover makes clear the stakes are very, very high.
