Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this June 2013 installment puts Slade Wilson in a genuinely grim spot — bound tight in heavy chains, battered and bloodied in his signature orange-and-blue armor, with a broken blade at his feet and the ominous tagline "His Tormentors…" hanging over him. The cover by Juan José Ryp delivers an impressively detailed image of Deathstroke at his most vulnerable, surrounded by what appears to be a murky, overgrown environment that only deepens the sense of danger. With Justin Jordan writing and a strong art team including Edgar Salazar, Scot Eaton, Scott Hanna, and Art Thibert on interiors, "Resurrection Day" promises a story that puts the world's deadliest mercenary through his paces.
