Deadpool Classic #12
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDeadpool Classic Volume 12: Deadpool Corps collects the zany 2010 miniseries where Wade Wilson is recruited by the cosmic Elders of the Universe—including the Grandmaster, the Contemplator, and the Gardener—to lead a multiversal team of Deadpool variants on a mission to stop the reality-devouring entity Tath Ki. Along the way, the Corps clashes with familiar Marvel heroes like Wolverine, Hulk, and Spider-Man, as well as cosmic beings such as the Champion and the Watcher, in a story that blends fourth-wall-breaking humor with high-stakes space opera. This volume also includes tie-in issues from the broader Deadpool Corps event, showcasing the absurd adventures of Lady Deadpool, Kid Deadpool, and other alternate-reality versions of the Merc with a Mouth.
In "Killer Queen," Deadpool faces off against the relentless Omega Corps in a high-stakes battle for survival, then turns to the mysterious Gardener for help in raiding the gold-filled coffers of the Krook king. Meanwhile, Lady Deadpool takes on Princess Teela in a fight that could decide the fate of the planet Krook, where the balance between ancient tradition and modern progress hangs in the balance. Written by Victor Gischler and illustrated by Marat Mychaels, with inks by Cory Hamscher and colors by Matt Yackey, this action-packed issue features a cover by Rob Liefeld.

Deadpool fends off the Omega Corps assassins who have been sent to kill him. He then uses his power ring to summon the Gardener and ask for his help in looting the gold from the coffers of the Krook king. Lady Deadpool battles Princess Teela with the ruler ship of the planet Krook hanging in the balance. The princess is defeated and her father regains power, making amends with Teela and agreeing to leave part of his kingdom a modern city while returning the other part to its more primitive state. The Deadpool Corps leaves Krook behind with a cargo hold full of gold (or is it?).
