Deadpool #4

Part of Marvel's 2023 "Destiny of X" era, this issue finds Wade Wilson staring up — sword in hand — as a furious, claws-extended Kwannon bears down on him from above, her expression making it very clear this encounter won't be friendly. Martin Coccolo's cover composition does a great job of playing up the height and tension between the two figures, with a glittering cityscape stretching into the night sky behind them. Alyssa Wong and Coccolo, with colors by Neeraj Menon, keep delivering a Deadpool series with genuine bite — and "Eat Your Heart Out" is a story title that promises exactly that.
