Part of Marvel's Destiny of X line, Deadpool #3 brings the Merc with a Mouth front and center in Martin Coccolo's striking cover — Wade Wilson stands defiantly amid a mass of massive, writhing alien creatures, four katanas drawn and ready as the hulking beasts loom in from every side. The green-tinged atmosphere and the sheer scale of the surrounding monsters give the whole scene a delightfully overwhelming feel, suggesting Wade has once again found himself in a situation that would send anyone else running. With writer Alyssa Wong and colorist Neeraj Menon rounding out the creative team, this 2023 issue looks like exactly the kind of chaotic, sword-filled adventure Deadpool fans are here for.
