DC Rebirth Omnibus Expanded Edition #[nn]
"Chapter 1: Lost" kicks off the DC Rebirth Omnibus Expanded Edition with a haunting, time-bending mystery: Wally West, suddenly restored to his youthful Kid Flash form outside the New 52 timeline, reaches out to Batman in desperate hope of being recognized—only to vanish back into the Speed Force before a word is spoken. Written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Gary Frank and Ethan Van Sciver, with colors by Jason Wright and Brad Anderson, this pivotal story reveals that the New 52’s origin wasn’t just a reboot—it was a deliberate alteration, with an unseen force erasing a decade from the heroes’ lives. The cover, by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, captures Wally’s fractured moment of return.

Wally West, who has not been seen in the new 52 Universe, finds himself aged back to a youthful Kid Flash existing outside of the normal timeline. He appears to Batman hoping that Bruce will remember him and help him, but gets pulled back into the Speed Force before that happens. Wally recalls how the New 52 Universe was formed as the result of undoing the Flashpoint universe, but only Wally is aware that some outside force manipulated events so that some things were different in the New 52 Universe than in the pre-Flashpoint universe, including stealing 10 years from the heroes lives.
