Written by Barbara Randall and Bob Greenberger, with art by Tom Mandrake and inks by Don Heck, the story explores Lady Quark’s emotional struggle as she confronts a foe eerily reminiscent of her late husband from Earth-6—only this time, the resemblance is no coincidence. The cover, a striking piece by George Pérez, captures the moment of confrontation with dramatic flair.

As the four heroes (Superman, Lady Quark, Harbinger, Pariah) explore the single earth in Crisis's wake, a new foe emerges named the Volt Lord, who attacks our heroes. At first, Lady Quark is hesitant to attack him because of his resemblance to her late husband from the destroyed Earth-6 (Lord Volt), but does when she sees how evil he is, unlike her kind husband. The villain is then defeated by the four heroes.
