DC Comics Presents #66
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJoe Kubert's cover for this February 1984 team-up says it all: Superman is crushed in the grip of an enormous stone hand while the Demon struggles against another, both heroes overwhelmed by the towering, hooded figure of Blackbriar Thorn, whose long beard and crackling mystical energy dominate the composition. The pairing of the Man of Steel with DC's rhyming hellion makes for a genuinely compelling combination, especially against a threat that seems to dwarf them both. Written by Len Wein and rendered entirely by Kubert, DC Comics Presents #66 is a fine showcase for what this anthology series did best — throwing two unlikely allies against one formidable foe.
