In *JLA: La Reina de las fábulas #1*, a mysterious book unleashes the Reina de las fábulas, who transforms Manhattan into a twisted fairy tale realm and sets her sights on capturing Wonder Woman. As the JLA ventures into the enchanted woods, they're split apart—Plastic Man and Martian Manhunter trapped in a gingerbread house, while Green Lantern and Flash discover Wonder Woman asleep in a glass coffin. Written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Bryan Hitch, with inks by Paul Neary, colors by Laura DePuy, and letters by Ken Lopez, this issue features a cover by Bryan Hitch and Paul Neary that captures the story’s eerie, dreamlike tone.
