Nicolleta is kidnapped and Jackie discovers his own grandmother is behind the kidnapping. She is also behind the contract to kill Jackie because she wants all the power of the Darkness returned to her. But her scheme will only work if Jackie is killed on December 21st while the sun is up. Since the sun is down, she has lost her chance but vows to try again in one year.
