Daredevil #101
Part two of Ed Brubaker's "Without Fear" arc arrives with a cover by Marko Djurdjević that pulls no punches — a bloodied, battered Daredevil reaches desperately toward the viewer against a dark, shattered urban backdrop, his red costume torn and his body clearly pushed to its limits. The raw, painterly intensity of the image perfectly captures the bruising tone Brubaker, Michael Lark, and Stefano Gaudiano bring to Hell's Kitchen's guardian. If you want Daredevil at his most tested and human, this 2007 issue makes a compelling case.
