A blood-red full moon hangs over a darkened cityscape as Man-Wolf crouches atop a rooftop wall, fangs bared and ready to pounce on an unsuspecting couple below — the man turning in dawning horror while the woman clings to him, oblivious to the beast looming behind them. Gil Kane's pencils and John Romita's inks give the scene a tense, visceral energy that perfectly suits the "Full Moon, Dark Fear!" tagline. With Doug Moench writing and George Tuska on interior art, this 1974 Marvel issue makes a compelling case for Man-Wolf as a monster-hero worthy of a series all his own.
