Crazy Magazine #77
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel's long-running humor magazine "The Magazine That Dares to Be Dumb" is in fine form with issue #77, featuring a painted cover by Bob Larkin that riffs on the then-recent Popeye live-action film. A powerfully built sailor dominates the image, his enormous forearms raised on either side with battleships perched atop them and crossed blasts of energy exploding between his fists — while a soft-eyed woman in a red dress looks on adoringly and a small baby in a sailor cap peeks out from behind his leg. Inside, writer Jim Owsley and artist Steve Toomey (inked by Frank Giacoia) bring their own comedic sensibility to "Decisions," promising the kind of gleefully irreverent fun that made Crazy a staple of 1981 humor comics.
