Finally, Cosmo travels to a futuristic world where a tyrant threatens to destroy him, but Cosmo escapes by flying away to investigate the villain's plans.
Cosmo Cat springs into action when he hears that the Whiz Kid—a child prodigy so brilliant he can solve any mathematical problem and even school the great scientist Al Einstone—has been kidnapped by crooks working for Edward J. Robertson, who plan to exploit the boy's genius for profit. The famous feline detective must track down the young genius before the villains can make off with their intellectual prize.
In "Chapter One Strange Peril," a mysterious gas from Martian metal spheres sends Earth’s humans into bizarre behavior, prompting Cosmo Cat to journey to Mars to uncover the source. There, a voice claiming dominion over all planets lures him into shadowy caverns, where danger awaits. The story ends with Cosmo Cat facing a towering Martian monster known as a cavon.
