Horroface
Horroface is a villainous antagonist from Fox's Golden Age funny-animal title, opposing Cosmo Cat with a name that leaves little to the imagination about their menacing nature and role as a recurring threat in that comic's eccentric, whimsical world.
Few names in the Golden Age announce a villain's intentions quite so bluntly as Horroface, who burst onto the scene in Fox's Cosmo Cat #4 in 1947. This delightfully menacing figure carved out a niche in the wilder, more whimsical corners of Golden Age comics, sharing pages with the likes of Cosmo Cat, the eccentric Professor J. Moggerty Fump, and even the legendary Blue Beetle himself. With six catalogued appearances centered in Cosmo Cat, Horroface may be a rarity, but that scarcity only adds to the charm β a genuine piece of Fox Comics oddity from an era when comic books were still gleefully inventing themselves.
