Conan #8/2002
In the grim salt marshes of a forgotten realm, Prince Conn vanishes during a diplomatic mission, leaving his father, King Conan, to grapple with grief and doubt. When a spectral omen points to the marshes as the key to his son’s fate, Conan’s search is thrown into chaos—first by a treacherous poisoning, then by a desperate command from his sickbed: send the Black Dragons to uncover the truth.
In the treacherous Gunderland woods, Prince Conn flees for his life after a brutal ambush during a diplomatic mission. Left for dead, he battles a pack of ravenous wolves before being captured by a ruthless band of slavers, thrust into a fight for survival in a world where mercy is a forgotten luxury.
In "Umirs kilde," Conan ventures into a secluded monastery during the annual harvest festival of Sultas, where a granite rock erupts with liquid gold. Tasked by King Aragu to eliminate the fugitive Dachivu, Conan is equally driven by the lure of the golden treasure—though the monks' secrets and the true nature of the gold may prove as dangerous as any blade.
