När Sonja var ung flicka blev hela hennes familj mördad av soldater och hon själv våldtagen och lämnad att dö. Då uppenbarade sig en kvinnlig gudom som gav henne kraften och viljan att överleva och hämnas. Fem år senare hittar hon den namnlöse ledaren för soldaterna, men han har torterats av rövare och tappat förståndet. Sonja lämnar honom åt vargarna och kan gå vidare med sitt liv.
