Marvel's irrepressible redhead Chili is in fine form on this 1970 cover, penciled and inked by Stan Goldberg, as she sits regally amid a sea of scattered shoeboxes while an exasperated salesman staggers under an impossible stack of them. The punch line lands perfectly in the speech bubbles — asked what she's looking for, Chili simply replies she's waiting for the rain to stop — and a glimpse of the fashionable Millie herself appears in the upper corner, reminding readers exactly whose rival this is. With "Welcome to the Club!" inside, written by Stan Lee with art by Goldberg, this is a charming slice of Marvel's lighter side.
