The Cheyenne Kid infiltrates Crazy Horse's massive encampment—over two thousand warriors gathering for a confrontation with Custer's Seventh Cavalry—disguised as a Sioux brave to learn their battle strategy. After ten tense days gathering intelligence, he escapes to warn Custer of the planned ambush, but the confident general dismisses the warning and leads his troops directly into the trap. As the cavalry charges into the Little Bighorn valley, the Kid realizes the terrain mirrors exactly what Crazy Horse and his war chief Gall had schemed.

The Cheyenne Kid rides with General Custer's Seventh Cavalry as they charge into what appears to be a fleeing Indian force at Little Bighorn—but the Kid sees the trap too late, recognizing a war chief's position on the hill above. When drifter Wes Bricker takes a job with honest cattleman John Misker, he quickly spots Troy Evans's ruthless scheme: the railroad baron is using his massive brand to cover smaller ranchers' marks and steal their cattle. Bricker rallies the intimidated local ranchers to demand a showdown, but his true identity—a detective for the Cattlemen's Association—comes to light when he produces the evidence needed to expose Evans's rustling operation.
