Miles is haunted by a fleeting memory from the battle with Zzzax. He persuades Pinpoint to take him to Dubai, where he learns that a young girl he originally saved was killed in the fight after Mephisto turned back time. Elsewhere, some of the other Champions are dealing with a threatening protest when Nova's old enemy Kaldera appears suddenly.
