The Challengers land on a destroyer and shoot at everyone in sight until a man named Byshop calls a truce. He explains that he set off the Long Beach explosion for a good cause. Elsewhere, the CEO of KnowNowNews scolds Jessi Brydge for failing to catch the five rogues and appoints Kingge to retrieve them. Back on the destroyer, Byshop explains to the Challengers how they were manipulated into becoming assassins for the Hegemony, the billionaire cabal that secretly runs the world. Just then a submarine surfaces and Kingge's force of drones attacks. A Challenger's borrowed time runs out!
