Cerebus #268

Part of the long-running "Latter Days" arc, issue #268 of Cerebus arrives in July 2001 with a cover penciled and inked by Dave Sim and Ken Sim that's equal parts wry and surreal. The aardvark himself dominates the foreground in formal wear — tuxedo, bow tie, and boutonnière — clutching what appears to be a glass, while a cheerful crowd of top-hatted pink figures floats in the background above a photographic inset of a Tudor-style building. The bold declaration "Lo There Shall Come Three Wise Fellows" sets a mock-epic, tongue-in-cheek tone that longtime fans of Dave Sim and Gerhard's remarkable collaboration will find immediately appealing.
