Part 19 of the long-running "Guys" chapter finds Cerebus — the aardvark himself, suited up in a tuxedo — framed within a decorative heart alongside a beaming, red-haired bride in full wedding dress and veil, her bouquet of red roses clutched close. The Art Nouveau-inflected cover design, rendered by Dave Sim and Gerhard, gives the whole scene a bittersweet, almost wry romanticism that fits perfectly within Aardvark-Vanaheim's ambitious 1997 self-publishing journey.
